Visit of the animals of the farm
Often the babies that live in the city don't have
the possibility to know the animals from the truth
and often they have never seen unfortunately a hen
or a goat.
At Montopoli in our farmhouse we also raise so many
animals: geese, ducks, faraone, hens, chickens,
goats, sheep...

Naturalistic excursions
The trekking is a sport for all people. It has
become a naturalistic tourism, an intelligent way to
travel, to know the territory in all of its aspects.
There are some run paths around Montopoli that
crosses ancient countries, oil you and vineyards
hills of uncontaminated Mediterranean stain. With
some fortune you can also observe the wild fauna.

Harvest of the olives (seasonal - November,
December)
In our farm there are over a hundred of olive trees
with a predominant variety of plants Frantoio,
Moraiolo, Leccino.
Olive oil is one of the most typical products of
Tuscan agriculture and a symbol of our cuisine, a
well-known product which has recently been
rediscovered together with the flavours of classic
home cooking.

Archery
challenge |
September,
second sunday of the month. -A
wonderful festival that brings back Medieval
times to Montopoli. This historical evocation
and archery challenge, between the two parts of
the town of Montopoli Valdarno as divided in
1412, is a spectacular festival in medieval
costume. Five archers from each section compete
to claim the coveted banner. |

Festival
of kites
|
On following Sundays to the Easter
this amusing and colored party are held for
greeting the arrival in the spring. Hundreds of
kites they wriggle him in the sky. To make to
become still more suggestive the atmosphere a
historical procession unthreads for the streets
of San Miniato with men that the suits of
characters wear that the history of the country
has done. |

first Sunday of the month, in the St.
Domenico we can find a little market of ancient
furniture of Italian origin, but also ethnic. |

White Truffle of San Miniato Show

The
White Truffle from the San Miniato hills, a
geographical truffle-producing area that extends
towards the inland countryside of Pisa, is known
as the Tuber Magnatum Pico, the Food of the
Kings, and is the most valuable of this
underground fungi.
For
thirty years the Mostra Mercato Nazionale del
Tartufo Bianco di San Miniato (The National
White Truffle of San Miniato Show), transforms
the city for the entire month of November
into a huge open-air tasting workshop. |
